Introducing Path Ventures

This is the first post in a new chapter. Path Ventures is a strategic design and innovation consultancy that I am establishing in Sydney, Australia.

We are starting up as a vehicle to work on new ventures, particularly with climate-oriented purposes. The scale and difficulty of the challenges facing our societies is enormous and we want to be involved in addressing these challenges. We will no doubt work on many other issues too however the climate crisis is at front of mind and this blog will have a significant leaning towards climate issues. It's also a great medium to share news, think about design and talk about projects and experiments that we're involved in.

Path will be a network business, working with others to increase our impact and reach. This model worked well in previous iterations of my work as a designer in the UK and I believe it's well suited to the current context in Australia and globally. We want to work on the most exciting projects with the best talent and this model helps to achieve that. As our portfolio grows, I look forward to talking more about the amazing people who I work with.

I want to thank my partner, my friends and family and all my previous collaborators for their support and encouragement getting to this point. It's been a long road migrating to and getting established in Australia and I'm thrilled to launch Path as the next stage of this journey.

With that all said, it's time to smash the champagne against the hull and get things underway!
